Alieu Ceesay is among the high-rated centre back for the red devils, Hawks in the Gambia Football Association (GFA) premier league .

He is a versatile player and has great exciting stopping skills.

He was born in Jang-jang Road London Corner in Serrekunda East and started his career at Bokoteh Primary School, and then Latrikunda Upper Basic School (LK). He also played for the Gambia Senior Secondary School team.

Alieu played for Jang-Jang FC, but was relegated and later joined Gamma Link FC in Serrekunda East Nawettan League Championship and he also trained with Flamemins FC Academy.

His brilliant performance attracted the eyes of Hawks Coach Sang Ndong, who invited him to his reserve team in 2007-08 and later promoted to the senior team in 2008-09 season.

His ambition is to play for the various cadet teams and the senior national team and to become a professional player in the near future.

He has strong family ties with Gambia international Jatto Ceesay, and Yankuba Ceesay, alias Mal whom he commended for encouraging him.
