Ports Nuwari FC draw with Yarambamba in Int’l friendly

Tuesday, February 07, 2012

Ports Nuwari FC of Guinea Bissau on Saturday drew goalless with Yarambamba Football Academy of Yundum Village in an international friendly match played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini-stadium.

The friendly game that attracted hundreds of spectators from West Coast Region and its surrounding was organised to foster unity and understanding between the two sides.

The game was dominated and controlled by Yarambamba Football Academy, who could not capitalize on their spectacular goal-scoring opportunities.

Ports Nuwari FC on the other hand created few goal-scoring opportunities but also failed to capitalise on them thus the game ended goalless.

It would be recalled that the two teams entertained each other to a 1-1 draw in an international friendly match last year.
