Police officer testifies in court

Sub-Inspector, Bubacarr Touray, a police officer attached to the Old Yundum Police Station recently testified in the criminal theft case involving, Modou Bah.

Testifying before the court, Sub-Inspector Touray told the court that he recognised the accused person and could recall on 16th December 2009.

According to him, while he was on duty at the Old Yundum Police Station, the accused was brought to the station with a group of people accused of entering in the compound of one Ebrima Badjie, with intent to steal.

He said a case file was opened for him and statements were obtained from the witnesses.

He adduced that they visited the scene before conducting a search in the accused's compound where they found a car-tape hidden in a wooden box, which the complainant later identified as his own property.

Subsequently, he said the accused was cautioned and charged with the offence committed.
