The criminal trial involving deputy editor-in-chief of the Daily Observer Newspaper, Alhagie Jobe, and one Mbye Bittaye, is expected to continue today at the Special Criminal Court before Justice Emmanuel Nkea.

The case scheduled to continue yesterday could not proceed as the time allocated for the case was not enough for the court to hear the oral application by the defence.

The case was then adjourned till today for the defence to file their no-case-to-answer submission.

Alhagie Jobe was arraigned on a five-count charge of making an act with seditious intention, seditious publication, and possession of seditious publication, giving false information to a public servant, and recklessness and negligence; while Mbye Bittaye was arraigned on a single count of making preparation to do an act with seditious intention.
