NAMs Trained on IT Skills

National Assembly Members were recently trained on basic computing skills by the Quantum Net Institute of Technology at its head office along Kairaba Avenue.

The two-week training covered four modules which included an introduction to computers and Microsoft Word.

Speaking at the occasion, Hon. Fabakary Tombong Jatta Majority, leader of the national assembly, stressed the importance of the course. According to him, the significance of the training cannot be over emphasized. He said that the training will enhance their work as policy makers.

He commended Quantum NET and UNDP for the training.

Deputizing the speaker of the National Assembly, Mr. Sahou Sanyang, said that the training would no doubt build the capacity of National Assembly Members. He congratulated the trainees for their achievement. He encouraged them to make the best use of the skills acquired.

Muhammed Jah, managing director of Quantum NET, said that National Assembly is highly valued by his institute. He thanked the national assembly speaker and the United Nations Development Capacity Development Project for the National Assembly for choosing his institute to conduct the training.
