Milan FC Receive Biggest Support In Club History

Milan FC could consider themselves as one of the luckiest nawettan teams in the country because they are now enjoying the most successful partnership with an insurance company called Aegon.

Pointsport understand Aegon is an associate partner with Ajax football club in the Neitherland top flight football.

The Bakau outfit under the inspirational leadership of the team Manager who doubles as the President of Milan Ousman Drammeh on Thursday 1st October 2009 received valuable football materials from Aegon Company in Neitherland courtesy of Bas-Endlich who came to the country last August on a week-long visit alongside his colleagues.

The donated items include; shorts, shocks and football jerseys with the name of the players printed on their backs which many belief is a rare opportunity in Gambian sports and football in particular.

According to Ousman Drammeh, this initiative could not have being possible without the partnership of Aegon Company and Ajax football club in Neitherland.

Drammeh explained that he was fortunate when he met Bas-Endlich for the first time as a friend while he was in the Gambia for a one week visit to discuss many issues with him that is affecting his Milan side since its formation.

Cho as he is widely known whose face was beam with joy during this interview with our reporter further revealed that Mr Endlich wasted no time in responding to his concerned and went ahead to established contacts with Milan and Aegon Company through the partnership with Ajax describing the gesture as timely and unprecedented for Milan FC.

'I fell deeply honour and satisfied for this noble initiative because it is the first of its kind for us to receive such a high profile and quality football materials which will go down into the club's history the elated Ousman Drammeh noted.

He also used the platform to give profound thanks, gratitude and appreciation to his friend Bas-Endlich whom he said will now serve as the associate manager and Milan's representative back in Neitherland in appreciation of the great role he continued to play to the success of Milan FC.

He further took the opportunity to commend Aegon organisation and Ajax FC in Holland for what he called 'their timely intervention' and promised them that Milan will do every thing in their utmost best to raise the standard of the club at all cost.

The club President and Manager finally seized the opportunity to informed our reporter that Milan FC will be officially change to Ajax FC before the start of next year's third division qualifiers in recognition of the great role they played towards the sponsorship.

The GFA Secretary General Jammeh E.K Bojang on behalf of the F.A presented the donated items to Milan FC at the presentation ceremony held at the GFA's headquarter's in Kanifing on Thursday.
