Lamin Ceesay and Sambujang Dibba were recently arraigned before Magistrate Kijera of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with conspiracy to commit a felony and stealing from a person.

Meanwhile, the 1st accused admitted to count one and denied count two whilst the 2nd accused denied both counts.

Police prosecutor Chief Inspector Fadera objected to bail for the accused persons on the grounds that the 2nd accused had another matter in the same court.

The court consequently remanded the accused persons until 12 November 2015.

The charge sheet presented before the court on count one stated that on 19 October 2015, at Bakau Right Choice Supermarket, the two accused conspired to steal.

Count two read that on the same date and place, they jointly stole from one Patrick Georges Luis Merman by deeping their hands inside his pocket and ran with an amount of D2,000, the property of the said Patrick Georges Luis Merman.
