Marimoo share booty with Lions of Banjul in GFF 2nd division

As BK Milan thrash Blue Star

Marimoo on Tuesday shared spoils with Lions of Banjul in the 2015-2016 Gambia Football Federation’s second division league following a goalless draw in the week-sixteen fixtures played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.

On the other hand, BK Milan thrashed Blue Star to increase their chances of staying in the second tier for another season and avoid relegation to the third tier.

The Manjai-based outfit are two points ahead of second place Brufut United before to their week-sixteen fixtures with the Banjul-based outfit but the tie ended in stalemate.

Marimoo are now level on points with Brufut United with 32 points each in sixteen league matches but the Manjai boys are leading the second division league standings on goal difference

Elsewhere, BK Milan thrashed Blue Star 3-0 in the other week-sixteen fixtures played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau to expand their hopes of staying in the second division for another season.

The defeat was Blue Star’s second successive loss in the second round of the Gambia Football Federation second division.

Marimoo and Brufut United are first and second spots in the second division with 32 points in sixteen league matches.

Tallinding United are third with 30 points in sixteen league matches, while Blue Stars and Interior are fourth and fifth with 25 points each in sixteen league matches.
