Last weekend witnessed another final in Sukuta when the vanquished Global Properties F.C surrendered the Knockout Cup once more to Manchester United of Sukuta at the Dembadou Mini Stadium.
According to an eyewitness, the match drew large numbers of spectators from Sukuta and its environs. Both teams played a game that sizzled the supporters to the core.
Manchester United F.C scored their first goal through Lamin Cham in the 19th minute of the game before Sajor Cham sealed the victory in the 66th minute for the double winners in Sukuta Nawettan.
Manchester United went home with a giant trophy and a cash prize of D6,000 and the runners up bagged D4,500 as consolation.
The elated skipper of Manchester United F.C, Lamin Cham, excitingly said that this is not the first time his team have won the double in the history of Sukuta Nawettans. He said that this is a replica of the 2006 Nawettan season. Captain Cham hailed their indefatigable supporters for
cheering the club all way.
The head coach of Global Properties F.C, Mr. Ousman Bojang, said his boys played a good game but they were unable to find the net. Mr. Bojang called for calm as the game was a win or lose affair.
