Man discharged for rogues and vagabond

One Muhammed Juldeh Jallow was recently cautioned and discharged by the Brikama Magistrates’ Court, presided over by Magistrate Jagne.

The charge sheet read in court stated that on 19 October 2013, at Kartong village, the accused, Muhammed Juldeh Jallow, was found at a place at such a time under circumstance that he was there for illegal or disorderly purpose.

According to the facts of the case as narrated by the prosecuting officer, the incidence took place on 19 October 2013, between the hours of 21:00 p.m. and 22:00 p.m. at Kartong village.

The accused, unknown to the complainant who is one Ebrima Krubally, entered into the house of the complainant and was asked what he was looking for by the complainant.

The accused responded that he came from Kafuta but did not have money to go back, and the complainant gave him water to drink and he left.

Still the facts added that the accused went to the road outside the compound and lay there.

The complainant and some people came to wake him up but he did not respond and they took him inside and asked him again where he came from and he said he was coming from Serrekunda, going to Kartong.

He was taken to the police station where he was interrogated and confessed being idling around the complainant’s compound.

He was consequently cautioned and discharged after admitting to the charge preferred against him.
