Latriya village Central Mosque holds 14th annual Gamo

The Muslim community of Latriya village in the Kombo North District of the West Coast Region Saturday held their 14th annual Gamo, an occasion convened with the recitation of the holy Quran, and preaching by various imams and scholars.

The annual Gamo was initiated since the inauguration of the central mosque in the village in 2001, erected by one Alhagie Abdoulie Sillah.

It is annually celebrated with the recitation of the holy Quran, under the leadership of the imam ratib, Muhammad Salieu Jallow, and brings together family members, relatives, people from the neighbourhood and satellites villages.
