Lamin Janneh elected as Kombo South District Sports Committee chairperson

Lamin Janneh has been elected as the new chairperson of Kombo South District Sports Committee (KSDSC) unopposed.

Mr Janneh was elected at the Committee’s elective congress held on Sunday at the Gunjur Day Care Centre.

Bakary Bojang was elected as the 1st vice chairperson, Isatou Jeng as the 2nd vice chairperson, Omar B. Jammeh as the secretary general, and Isatou Jallow as the assistant secretary general.

Abass Colley is the treasurer, Bubacarr Jallow auditor, Amadou Sowe social secretary, Buba Bojang assistant social secretary and Essa Jarjue public relations officer. 

Speaking to the delegation after the congress, the newly-elected chairperson of the KSDSC, Lamin Janneh, hailed the delegates for electing him as chairperson of the Committee, adding that his committee would do everything possible to promote and develop sport in the district.

Mr Janneh seized the opportunity to call on the people of Kombo South to rally behind the new committee in order to promote and develop sport in the district.

Mr Janneh also applauded the outgoing committee for its contribution towards the development of sport in the district.

The outgoing chairperson, Buba Bada Bojang, said they came to the office without a single butut but they managed to organize three district tournaments.

Bojang thanked Maw Bayo, The Point Newspaper, Gunjur Radio Jannehkoto FM and all those who contributed to the development of sport in the district.
