Kudang Ward By-election Slated for 14 May

The Kudang Ward by-election in Jangjanbureh Area Council, Central River Region, has been scheduled to place on Thursday, 14th May 2009.

The by-election will be held to fill the seat that became vacant after the death of the previous councillor.

A press release issued by the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) states that nomination of candidates will be held on Thursday 30th April 2009 at the IEC regional office in Jangjanbureh from 8.00am to 4.00pm.

According to the release, campaign will start on Monday 4 May and end on Tuesday 12 May 2009.

"Prospective candidates can collect nomination forms from both the Election House along

Kairaba Avenue
and the regional office in Jangjanbureh," the release states.
