The draw for the 2012-2013 Kombo South district football
tournament was held at the Gunjur Upper Basic School on Sunday 21st October
2012.
Thirteen villages namely, the defending champions Sifoe, Tujereng, Jambanjelly, Jambur, Kartong, Banyaka, Berending, Batokunku, Nyofelleh, Tanji, Farato and Gunjur are vying for the tournament’s title.
The villages have been split into four groups - group A consists of the defending champions Sifoe, Banyaka, Jambur and Kartong.
Group B comprises Tujereng, Mamuda and Jambanjelly, group C consists of Berending, Nyofelleh and Batokunku, while Gunjur, Farato and Tanji make up group D.
The tournament is meant to nurture and develop young players in the district, as well as foster unity and understanding among youths in the district and villages, which will also use the district tournament to prepare for the forthcoming West Coast Region third division qualifiers.
