Kanifing United FC have bounced back to their winning form in the
2013-2014 Serrekunda West Nawettan after beating Unicorns FC in a game played
at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium at the weekend.
This has come following their 5-4 penalty shootout defeat to Pencha FC in the 2013 Serrekunda West Super Cup final game, after a goalless draw in regulation time at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium a fortnight ago.
Kanifing United outplayed and outclassed Unicorns throughout the game, with so many goal-scoring opportunities, in the weekend’s biggest fascinating and exciting clash at the West’s biggest football arena.
Buba Conteh and Muhammed Kujabi’s 20th- and 68th-minute strikes earned Kanifing United a resounding victory over Unicorns as they recovered from the Super Cup final defeat to Pencha FC.
Unicorns fought hard tooth and nail for an equalizer but to no avail, thus the game ended 2-0 in favour of Kanifing United.
