A four-day training on child's right and protection for the staff of Kaira Suu Federation over the weekend ended in Jambanjelly village, Kombo South district, Western Region.

Speaking at the opening ceremony held at Kaira Suu main office in Jambanjelly village, Mr. Habibou Bah, who deputised for the Child Fund (CF), said Child Fund was formed for two main reasons namely, to protect and promote the welfare of children.

He emphasised the importance of child rights and protection by Child Fund, adding that it is very important to train members of the communities about child rights and protection.

According to him, the reason why children are not protected is because people did not understand the role of Child Fund concerning children in our society.
