The newly-elected president of the Gambia Football Federation, Hon. Lamin Kaba Bajo, has promised to work with journalists in order to develop Gambian football.

Hon. Bajo was speaking shortly after his election as president of the country’s football governing body at the extra-ordinary congress held at the Paradise Suites Hotel last Saturday.

Hon. Bajo said his executive bureau will work with journalists in a bid to promote and develop Gambian football to higher heights, adding that their doors are always open to journalists.

Hon. Bajo also called on all Gambians to come out and give a helping hand to the GFF executive bureau in order to develop football in the country, adding that without support from the Gambians and football stakeholders it would be difficult for them to realise their aspirations.

GFF second-vice president Ebou Faye said the GFF would come up with a calendar for the league, Super Nawetan and Nawetan in a hundred days, and fixtures for the league would be display after the season, to give the teams time to prepare well for pre-season training.

Faye also announced plans to form a players’ association.
