The Brikama magistrates’ court, presided over by magistrate AA Jagne, has adjourned the trial involving Lt Col. Solo Bojang and Anineh Jammeh for judgment.

Solo Bojang and Anineh Jammeh, who were charged with giving false information and abuse of office, would have their case decided on 12 May 2014, following the end of testimony under cross-examination by the 2nd accused person, Anineh Jammeh.

Under cross-examination, the 2nd accused said he could not recall when the President visited the farm, but he was in Kanilai, adding that when the President was talking to him, the 1st accused was present.

“We are sent by the president to seek for land in Alla Kunda,” the 2nd accused said, adding that it was during his last visit that the alkalo told him that the land was being demarcated.

Responding to questions by the 1st accused, Solo Bojang, who asked the 2nd accused if he could recall how many times they visited the alkalo, the 2nd accused person said he could only recall going there twice.

The case was then adjourned to 12 May 2014, for judgment.
