Jambur to clash with Banyaka in tourney opener for late Badjie and Nyassi

Jambur are to rub shoulders with Banyaka in the opening game of the 2013-2014 Kombo South district biggest football fiesta for late Kajali Badjie and late Ismaila Nyassi set for Saturday 15 March 2014, at Tujereng Football Field.

The battle between these two giants is described by many football fans in Kombo South District and its satellite areas as the clash of the titans.

Jambur, who were eliminated by reigning champions Sifoe in the quarterfinal staged last season, on penalties after the regulation time failed to produce a winner, are expecting a win against Banyaka come Saturday in the opening game to bag the vital three points to fancy their chances of reaching the quarterfinal of the competition.

Banyaka were disqualified in the semi-final staged in the 2012-2013 Kombo South district football tournament, after using unqualified player during their semi-final tie against Tujereng,

They will also be hoping for a victory against Jambur on Saturday in the opening game to boost their hopes of snatching a place in the quarterfinal as well as of keeping their dreams of qualifying for the final this season.

The opening game of the 2013-2014 Kombo South district football tournament for the late Kajali Badjie and the late Ismaila Nyassi Kombo is expected to be graced by the National Assembly Member for Kombo South constituency, Hon. Abdou Colley, Kombo South Chief Alhagie Sheriff Ajeh Janneh and other dignitaries.
