According to an information brief to Entertainment from the
Board of Directors of GAWFA, the purpose of organising this concert is to
celebrate 21 years of microfinance in The Gambia. The Gambia Women' s Finance
Association, as the pioneers of microfinance in the country, have been able to
reach out to women in all the sectors and the regions, in order to bring
savings and credit to their doorstep. This is a great achievement of which
GAWFA is proud and it will strive to continue to reach out to the poorest of
the poor in The Gambia.
