The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) will conduct a by-election to fill the vacant seat of councilor for Half Die Ward in the Banjul City Council on Thursday, 1 October 2015, according to a release from Election House.
The release further stated that nomination of candidates will be held on Thursday, 17 September 2015 at the IEC regional office in Banjul from 8am to 4pm.
Prospective candidates should contact the regional office in Banjul on 3934790 or 3534209 in order to arrange the schedule of receipt of their nomination papers, the release concludes.
