Two sensational second half goals from the Hammeh FC duo Landing Sawaneh and Captain Sankung Fatty were enough for the Fajara Barracks Boys to be crowned champions of the just concluded two-week football tournament at the Bakau Mini Stadium.

The eight team tournament organised by Ebrima Jawara and Ebrima Njie and sponsored by Mustapha Chorr, a Gambian based in UK, attracted a lot of football enthusiasts from within and outside Bakau who all expressed delight at the successful organisation of the tournament.

Baghdad FC occasionally went close to scoring but were denied by poor finishing.

A cash prize of D2,500 and a giant trophy   went to champions Hammeh FC.

The team also received the leading goal scorer award in the person of Sankung Fatty who also doubled as the most outstanding player of the tournament, while teammate Ebrima Janko Fatty, alias Kaka, received the most disciplined player of the tournament prize.

Baghdad   FC collected D1,500 as runners up.
