Gunjur Youth and Sports Development Association (GYSDA) has fined Gamcel FC D3,000 aftersupporters of the club threw sand on match officials following their 1-0 defeat to Alex Sanchaba FC in the 2013-2014 Gunjur Nawettan league final on Sunday 29 September 2013, at the Nyamina Football Field.
GYSDA has also fined Gamcel FC captain Sainey Gibba, Ismaila Saidy Tass and Alagie Jassey D1,000 each for using abusive language against match officials following the exit of Gamcel FC from the Gunjur Nawettan league at the weekend.
Gamcel are urged to settle their fines on or before October 13, 2013, failing which shall lead to two-year suspension from participating in Gunjur Nawettan.
Furthermore, GYSDA is appealing to all participating teams, players, officials and fans to maintain discipline and tolerance at the field during the nawettan in order to avoid fines and suspensions
