Cherno Ceesay, a grade 10 student of Nusrat Senior Secondary School, residing at Kanifing Estate recently appealed for sponsorship to undergo overseas treatment.

Cherno Ceesay, who is 19-year-old, said he was born with an eye problem, which became worst when he grew up.

He said he has difficulties in seeing the blackboard, adding that he had an operation five times, but to no avail. Ceesay said he was reporting to a clinic, where he got a referral for him to undergo overseas treatment since there is little or nothing they can do to further improve his vision.

Cherno further stated that his eyes are getting worst each day, and the fact that he came from a poor family background he could not pay for his bills.

The medical report from Sheikh Zayed Regional Eye-care Centre reveals that Cherno is suffering from poor visions in both eyes, and that he had to go for surgery five times without success.
