The two prominent women's rights activists are been tried before acting-Principal Magistrate Alagba for allegedly stealing 30,000 Euros, being money provided by the YALOCAMBA SOLIDARIDAD of Spain to GAMCOTRAP.

It was alleged that the accused persons in 2009, in Banjul and diverse places in The Gambia, jointly stole 30,000 Euros and thereby committed an offence.

It would be recalled that the prosecution had called eight witnesses so far.

Meanwhile, the defence counsel, Amie A.A Bensounda, earlier told the court that the defence intended to make a no-case-to-answer submission.
