Four Seriously Wounded In Car Accident

Another near-fatal accident came to pass yesterday at Farato Village barely a week after a fatal accident occurred in the same village, in which one died and 22 others sustained serious injuries.

In yesterday's account, four (two men and women) seriously suffered the accident while the vehicles in which they were travelling rammed into each other, just at the entrance of the village around the Mindaw School.

A Chrysler-marked vehicle, with a registration number BJL 2200D, was tied to another vehicle stray, resulting in collision with a van-BJL 6301F.

According to one Cpl Korteh, a Mobile Traffic Officer, "the Chrysler-marked vehicle, which was tied to another vehicle, lose control of the steering wheel and as a result, left its right hence colliding with the van to avoid falling".

Dembo Sidibeh, the van driver said three of his passengers were seriously injured and another from the second vehicle.

Lamin Jaiteh, the driver of the other vehicle confirmed the story.

In a related development, another accident though not serious, was reported to have occurred at the outskirts of the village, near the forest.
