Fortune FC share loots with Wallidan to keep two points lead in GFF 2nd division

Fortune FC on Thursday came from one nil down to share spoils with Wallidan in the 2016-2017 Gambia Football Federation second division following their 1-1 draw in the week-ten fixtures played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.

Fortune FC were leading the second tier prior to their Thursday’s clash with Wallidan, who are occupying second spot.

Fortune FC and Wallidan both came into the game with the motive of edging-pass each other to maintain their hopes of gaining promotion to the top flight.

Wallidan were the first to find the back of the net in the first half before Fortune FC leveled the scores in the second half to share the points.

Fortune FC are still leading the second tier with 19 points in nine league matches and Wallidan are second in the second tier with 17 points in nine league matches.

Bottom-place Blue Star beat Brufut United at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium to land their first victory in the second tier.

Elsewhere, Red Hawks drew 1-1 with Kexx United at the Independence Stadium in Bakau to drop three vital points.

Brufut United are with 12 points in nine league matches and Kexx United are 9 points in nine league matches.

The Wellingara-based outfit Blue Star are still rooted at the bottom in the second tier with 5 points in nine league matches.
