Forged bank notes lands man in court

One Alagie Manneh, a resident of Old Yundum, was recently arraigned at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court, charged with being in possession of forged bank notes.

He denied the charge and was granted court bail of D50,000 with a Gambian surety.

The charge sheet read that the accused, Alagie Manneh, on 3 November 2011, was allegedly found being in possession of two bank notes of 50 Euro denominations with serial numbers 549073504249 and 520175422632.

The case was then adjourned till 23 January 2012.
