FK Drammeh wins Weekly Pros Golf Competition

Fa Kebba Drammeh, better known as Gambia’s Tiger Woods, was on Tuesday declared winner of the weekly Professional Golf Competition organised by the Gambia Golf Association (GGA).

The prize money amounting to D4, 000 was part of the surplus from the Baby Mariam Jammeh Golf Tournament which was sponsored by the President Yahya A J J Jammeh as part of events marking the 46th independence anniversary celebration.

It was used to sponsor this week’s Professional Golf Tournament.

Fakebba Drammeh was the winner of the competition after securing a medal score of 66, 3 under par in eighteen holes to beat his nearest competitor Tijan Kuyateh by three shots, who finished on level par 69, in eighteen holes.

Gibou Jallow took third after completing eighteen holes with a medal score of 70, 1 over par just a shot behind Tijan Kuyateh.

Pa Famara J J Jatta came out fourth with a medal score of 73, 4 over par in eighteen holes. Dodou Kassama, who completed eighteen holes with a medal score of 74, 5 over par followed him closely in fifth position.

Alhaji Drammeh came sixth with a medal score of 75, 6 over par in eighteen holes.

Bakary Touray occupied seventh position with a medal score of 77, 8 over par in eighteen holes, while Yusupha Tamba finished eighth position with a medal score of 82, 13 over par in eighteen holes.

Fakebba Drammeh received a cash prize of D1, 500 as winner of the competition. Runner-up Tijan Kuyateh received D800 while Gibou Jallow got D500 as third place winner.

All winners each paid ten percent of their prize money to the Professional Golfers Fund
