Father sent to jail for assaulting son

For causing grievous bodily harm to his son, one Musa Sanyang of Lamin village will now spend nine months in prison with hard labour.

Musa was given a nine-month custodial sentence after his own plea of guilty to a charge of assault. He had assaulted his own seven-year-old son by hitting him on the head with a stick for stealing mangoes.
