Eleminite FC have bounced back to the 2013-2014 Banjul Nawettan after beating reigning league and Super Cup champions Man City FC 2-0 at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium at the weekend.

This came following their disappointed 2-0 defeat to Lancaster United FC in their opening group match at Banjul’s biggest football arena, the KG5 Mini Stadium, a fortnight ago.

Eleminite FC, who lost their first game, knew that a defeat against reigning league and Super Cup champions Man City will really dash their chances of qualifying for the second round of the Nawettan.

They therefore put up an astonishing performance which earned them a resounding victory over the stunning league and Super Cup champions.

Man City need to win their remaining group games to keep their hopes of qualifying for the second round of the Nawettan as well as avoid relegation.

Elsewhere, Tesito FC also beat Lancaster United FC on the same score line, while Ngoyang FC drew 1-1 with MacDonald United FC.
