Edi Jammeh Hails Sponsors Of Caddy Golf Tourney

The winner of the 2009 Caddy Golf Tournament, Edi Jammeh, has applauded sponsors: Suzanne and Richard for their tremendous contribution towards uplifting golf in The Gambia.

Edi who made these remarks yesterday told Pointsport that "Organising tournaments like the Caddy Golf Tournament would enable the upcoming golfers to learn new skills and techniques."

He called on Suzanne and Richard to continue organising more golf tournaments to enable Gambian golfers represent the country at international championships in the near future.

"The Gambia has lot of young talented golfers but they are unable to excel themselves, due to lack of funds which hinder their participation in the discipline," he pointed out.

The 2009 Caddy Golf Tournament who was also rated as the Best Dressed player during the tournament, called on the private sector, individuals, donors, philanthropists and sundry to emulate Suzanne and Richard for the betterment of golf in The Gambia.

The delighted winner also commended all those who have contributed towards his success and urged them to keep up the good job.
