Dippa Kunda United Likely To Plummet In Points

Tuesday, August 25, 2009

(Monday 24th August 2009 issue)
Friday's match between Dippa Kunda United (D.K) and Gintos proved to be a dead end for D.K United as they dealt with their 1-0 blow.

The first 20 minutes of the game was played with typical panache and confidence by the two talented teams.

Both teams had many slim goal scoring chances which weren't utilised as expected.

Dippa Kunda United's number 14 Salifu Singhateh, lost ground after many attacks from Gintos players, and created a chance for Gintos' number 13 Yorro Sohna, whose 22nd minute goal finally carried the day for Gintos.

Dippa Kunda United's Striker Ebrima Ndow, alias Ndow later had a penalty kick, but did not have a scoring chance, due to the hard defence put up by their opposing team.

Not before long, one of his team mates misbehaved with Gintos' goalkeeper in the penalty area, when he saved the ball in time from going into the net.

The game eventually ended with Yorro Sohna's 22nd minute lone goal that finally made the day for Gintos. Both teams accepted the decision without demur.
