One Babucarr Sambou recently opened his defence in an allegation of breaking into a building preferred against him at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court.

In his defence, Babucarr Sambou told the court that it was the complainant who accused him of entering into his shop.

He said there was a fight between him and the complainant concerning a mobile phone he gave to the complainant.

He added that the complainant was working for him and showed interest in his mobile phone and said he wanted to buy it, adding that he gave the mobile phone to him.

Sambou further adduced that the mobile phone was with the complainant for two months, adding that one day he met the complainant at a naming ceremony and asked him about his phone.

The complainant, he testified, told him to go and collect it, because since he gave him the mobile it was not working.

The case was then adjourned till 11 January 2012.
