Koroma, the tournament is being staged in memory of Nguma FC's late player Abdoulie Njie who passed away in June during his team's friendly game against Real De Banjul, at the Seaview field after scoring the only goal of the game for his team in the 20th minute. But as a twist of fate he collapsed two minutes later and was pronounced dead.

Malick Mendy of Safira FC's 61st minute own goal separated the two teams to give Culture FC all the three points when his back header met goalkeeper Emmanuel Sanko in the wrong direction.

The head coach of Culture FC, Adama Jatta said he is extremely delighted at winning the game, adding that they took the tournament with seriousness.  As he put it, is staged in memory of their late college.

He also said that the game was not easy as Safira FC have more experienced players than them.

According to him, they put pressure on Safira FC which led to a goal that gave them the three points.

Pap Barrow, the Assistant Coach for Safira FC said the game was not easy, because of the Holy Month of Ramadan, adding that the goal they conceded was a mistake, and that his boys did not quickly adapt to the game which also led to their defeat in the hands of Culture FC.
