Cricket Domestic League Reaches 3rd Round

The Gambia Cricket league has reached its 3rd round last week at July

in Banjul. Gambia Ports Authority won the toss and decided to bat. They scored 295 runs in their allotted 35 overs for 7 wickets, with Melvin Walliams scoring 135 runs his first century since the begins of and Nicholas Cherry bowled 5 overs and got 5 Wickets for 21 runs and Wallidan batted next and were all out in 13.4 overs with 65 runs.

Andrea Jarju bowled 7 overs and got 3 Wickets for 39 runs George Greywood batted scored and scored 21runs and Gambia Ports Authority won by 230 runs with 39 Wickets remaining.

Veteran decided to bat first and scored 88 runs for all out in 13.5 over the highest scorer for them was Abdoulie Johnson who scored 24 runs.

Jewel of India batted next and won the match in the 13th over with 7 Wickets remaining the highest scorer for Jewel of India was moshin who scored 24 runs not out, Musa Sillah bowled 4.5 over and got 4 Wickets for 13 runs.

Jewel of India won the match and still leading the table with 27points now while Veterans are still with 18 points safe way asia 15 points ,GPA 9 points and Wallidan 3 points.

On Saturday 12th June 2009, Veterans will clash with Gambia Ports Authority while on Sunday 13th June Wallidan will face Safe Way Asia.
