The judge further stated that the conflicting birth certificate of the accused, Awa Sanyang, be attached to both sides of the affidavit before the court.

I shall order the accused person’s birth certificate be submitted for age determination test at the RVTH today and in addition, the registrar of the Kwinalla birth registry to produce the original booklet of the conflicting birth certificate in his custody before this court on the next adjournment date,” he stated.

He added that the order should be served on the prisons authorities at the Mile 2 prisons, and the registrar at Kwinalla.

The case was then adjourned till 11 February 2013, for hearing of the motion.

The prosecution had so far called several witnesses in support of their case, and also tendered exhibits.
