Complainant Testified In Assault case

The criminal case of assault causing bodily harm involving one Kassima Conteh continued on Monday 19th October 2009 before Magistrate B.O. Jobe of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court.

Testifying before the court, the complainant Saidou Sidibeh, a resident of Churchill's Town told the court that he recognised the accused Kissima Conteh, and that he could recall on15th September 2009.

According to him, on that fateful day, the accused went to him and asked for money and he told him that he had no money on him, adding that the accused told him that he has money and that he was a selfish person.

He added that the following day, the accused returned to his place, and started raining insult on him. As a result, he said a fight ensued between them but were later separated. He revealed further that while on his way to the mosque, the accused stoned him as a result of which, he sustained injury. Subsequently, he was rushed to the hospital where he was treated and the accused was later arrested and taken to police station where a body search was conducted on him and a razor blade was found in his possession.
