CCLK gives to German residents

Christian communities of Latri-Kunda German recently distributed second hand cloths and shoes to the residents of Lari-Kunda German at a colorful ceremony held at Mendy Kunda.
Speaking at the ceremony Richard Mendy the Chairman of Christian Community of Latri-Kunda German said their main purpose of giving out these materials to the residents of Latri-Kunda is to help the residents. He said they also participated in communal set-setal and other developmental activities in the area. He said this is the second time they distributed such materials to the communities of Latri-Kunda German adding that they gave the materials to any person resident at Latri-Kunda German regardless of their tribes, religion and political affiliations. Mr. Mendy said the materials were available to his community by the Gambian Health Care Foundation based in Holland whose founder was Bennie Ahlers while Jereba Bojang based in the Gambia as their President. He thanked their friends in Holland for their wonderful gift and he promised them that the materials donated to them would be put into good use.

According to Mr. Mendy over the years they have collaborated with some NGOs to train more than (30) early school leavers in various skills adding that they also organised various HIV/AIDS workshops to educate the community.

Other speakers at ceremony were Nathaniel Johnson the Chairman Christian Community of Latri-Kunda German, Paul Suwareh an adviser to the same Community whiles Ya-Awa Kuyateh an old woman gave the vote of thanks on behalf of the beneficiaries.  Ms Margaret Mendy led the august body into Christian Prayers and over one hundred people benefited from the gift including both young and old people.
