Canon FC Suffered Another Setback in S\K East

Canon FC has suffered their third concessive defeat in the ongoing Serrekunda East Nawettan Championship, following their 2-1 defeat in the hands of Milan FC on  Monday 17th August 2009, at the Serekunda East Mini- Stadium.

Milan FC opened the tally in the 3rd minute, through Ebrima Jammeh while Alagie Bah extended their lead in the 22nd minute of play, dashing Canon FC hope's of coming back to their feet.

Canon FC fought back but they were unable to contain Milan FC's formidable defence line in the first half, thus the first half ended 2-0 in favour of Milan FC.

In the resumption of the second half, Canon FC who were struggling in the ongoing Serrekunda East League Championship and also wanted to avoid qualify round next season came all out and put heavy pressure on Milan FC defence line, but they managed to pull back in the 70th minute, through Yankuba Badjie from a long range shoot to reduce the score-sheet to 2-1 in favour of Milan FC.

Milan FC now collected 6 points from three games, while Canon FC were yet to collect a point since the start of the championship.

Earlier on Sunday 16th August 2009, Abuko United FC drew 1-1 with Gamma Link FC. Gamma Link now bagged 1 point from two games, while collect 4 points from two games.

On the same day, Ball Conge FC lost to Rangers FC 1-0, while Rangers now collected 7 points from three games.  Ball Conge FC collected 6 points from three games, while London United walloped Old Hands FC 7-0. London United FC, who were unbeaten in this season collected maximum 9 points from three games. Old Hands were yet to collect a point in the championship.
