Head coach of Brikama United Essa Sambou has been dismissed from serving as coach fo the club following the club’s recent performance.
Brikama United are so far struggling in the GFA division one league coupled with their recent 1-0 defeat to Senegalese League champions US Ouakam in the first leg of the continent’s top-tier football club competition showdown - CAF African Champions league - at the weekend.
Essa Sambou, who guided Brikama United to their first-ever league title in 2010-2011, was sacked on Tuesday following a meeting on Monday by members of the Brikama Sports Committee, he told West Coast Radio.
Coach Essa Sambou has been replaced by Sulayman Kuyateh, former head coach of GFA second tier side Lamin United.
Coach Kuyateh will guide the team to the domestic league as well as in their champions league return leg against the Senegalese league champions US Ouakam in Dakar in a fortnight.
