Black Pool FC Wallop Gampop FC In S\K West Knock-Out

Black Pool FC last Tuesday 22nd September 2009, defeated Gampop FC 5-1 in the ongoing Serrekunda West Knock- out championship, at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium.

Black Pool FC opened the score sheet through Pa Ansu Bojang in the 3rd minute of play, while Cherno Jallow and Omar Sanyang netted the second and third goal for Black Pool FC, in the 18th and 26th minute of play, respectively. Gampop FC, though fought hard were unable to score until the first half ended 3-0 in favour of Black Pool FC.

Black Pool FC who were leading 3-0 in the first period continued their spectacular attacking football and created some occasional goal scoring opportunities in front of their opponents' danger area. But their efforts only paid dividend in the 69th and 72nd minute, when Lamin Touray and Jojo Kinteh blasted the forth and fifth goal to seal the victory for Black Pool FC.

Gampop FC fought back and created some few scoring chances, but they managed to pull one through Wary Barry in the 77th minute of play which reduced the score sheet to 5-1 in favour of Black Pool FC.

Speaking to Pointsport, the Head of Black Pool FC, Alpha Omar Sanyang, said he was delighted with brilliant performance of his boys, urging them keep up the momentum.

He appealed to his fans to continue supporting the team so that they would win the trophy this season.

For his part, the Head of Gampop FC, Musa Sowe, said he was not embraced with the score line, considering the disappointing result.

According to Coach Sowe, they will go back to the drawing board and prepare well for next season.
