The Helping Hands Senegambia group, a Belgian based charitable organisation, yesterday donated acontainer ofhousehold materials worth 4,000 euros to the Jallow family of Lamin.

Speaking in an interview with The Point, Lamin Touray, the co-ordinator of the charitable organisation in The Gambia, said the donation was purposely meant to assist the Jallow Family whose family compound was gutted by fire two months ago.

Mr. Touray pointed out that shortly after the fire was reported, he made an assessment of the damage and reported it back to his partners who responded positively.

He stated that the organisation has also supported the family financially before the arrival of the items.

He added that this is not the first time his organisation has supported individuals, the health sector and communities in The Gambia.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Ebrima Jallow thanked the director of Helping Hands Senegambia, Edgard Loots, Manager Jaak Ronsman and Alex for the timely assistance noting that this is a really philanthropic gesture and a relief to the entire Jallow Kunda family of Lamin.

He also commended Lamin Touray for facilitating the donation.
