The Banjul Zonal team will face Serrekunda East Zonal side on Saturday in a fund-raising game set to kick off at 16: 30 pm at the Serrekunda East mini stadium.
Funds raised will be given to the zones to rebuild the capacity of the coaches and administrators in the zones through training, to enable them run Nawettan clubs effectively, as well as to improve the standard of the Nawettan.
Abdoul Aziz Titao Mendy development officer of the National Sports Council and one of the zonal coordinators, revealed that the purpose of the event is to strengthen the relationship between the zones, and to have a common understanding and lessen tension in the upcoming Super Nawettan.
The minister of Youth and Sports Alieu K Jammeh and his colleagues, as well as former football players such as Alh Momodou Njie Biri Biri and Baboucarr Sowe Louds, among others, are expected to grace the occasion.
Tickets will be D15.00 for adults and D10.00 for children.
