"Banjul Set to End Trophy Drought" - Coach Bah

The revered head coach of Banjul, Modou Bah, has posited that the City Boys are determined to put an end to the era of no triumph and clinch this years final of the Baby Muhammad Yahya Jammeh Zonal Competition. They will meet defending Champions Bakau in the final.

Coach Bah told Pointsports that his boys actually deserved to win against Gunjur in the semi final. Mr. Bah maintains that in the game of football the final whistle decides and the team that performs better will always emerge victorious. Thus, Mr. Bah rubbished the claims that his boys' victory was just an easy road to the finals.

Now it is known that the City boys will face the defending champions Bakau for the second year running.

Coach Bah says that his opponents "will see the real side of Banjul come  the final". He continued to say, "we are going to win because for four years Banjul did not lift the zonal trophy".

"In the meantime we are going to prepare ourselves so that our past mistakes in the zonal final will be overcome to get the extra margin over our opponents"

Mr. Bah further elucidated that with the number of experienced players in the squad surely his boys will stun their opponents.

Coach Modou Bah profusely thanked the Banjul Football Committee for their support in developing and supporting sport particularly football in Banjul. He assured them that victory will surely come to Banjul. He called the fans to come out in large numbers to lift the morale of the team as their presence always counts.
