The City Boys of Banjul are through to the semi-finals of the 2009, Baby Muhammed Yahya Jammeh Perpetual Zonal Championship, after their 1-1 draw against Western Region giants Brikama in the final Group B game at the Brikama Mini Stadium on Wednesday 1st December 2009.
The first half was totally dominated and controlled by Brikama who created numerous scoring chances, but only found the net after 20th minutes through Lamin Findi Jammeh from a close-range-effort.
In the second half, City Boys who needed only a draw to progress to the semi-final stage of the championship came up with an equaliser, courtesy of Toni Mendy's 73rd minute strike after a clever cross by team mate Pa Dodou Jammeh.
Serrekunda East tops the Group B with 7 points from three games, and will meet Serrekunda West in the semi-final on Sunday.
