Ballingho Murder Trial Set For Judgment

The protracted Ballingho village murder trial involving one Musa Trawally, a Malian National is finally set for judgement on the 21st May 2009, at the Brikama High Court before Justice Ngui-Mboob Janneh.

It will be recalled that, the said accused was dragged to court to answer to three count of murder charges. The accused Musa Trawally who hitherto to the judgement was languishing at the Mile Two Prison for twelve years while waiting for trial.

The accused will know his fate on the 21st May 2009. He is alleged to have killed one Bakary Njie alias Filly on the 6th of June 1997 at Ballingho in the North Bank Region. He is alsoaccused of attempting to cause the death of one Lamin Jammeh of the same village. While count three alleged that he had also attempted to kill one Ansu Saidy also of the same village.

Justice Ngui Mboob Janneh expressed some dismay that this case has been dragging for long and ruled  that the case must come to an end now.
