Bakau coach Still Optimistic

Following a  2-1 defeat at the hands of Gunjur in the Muhammed Yahya Jammeh Super Nawettan competition over Weekend, Bakau head coach Ebrima Jallow, alias E.B, has expressed optimism that the defending champions Bakau will beat Sukuta and advance to the semi finals of the 2008 competition.

Coach Jallow made these remarks in an interview with Pointsports shortly after they lost their second match against Gunjur.

After bagging a single point from their two opening games, Coach Jallow revealed that, his team would prepare well to gather an extra three points in their last match against Sukuta on Saturday 20thDecember 2008 at Serrekunda West Mini Stadium.

He said that his boys would certainly go away with three points and qualify for the semi finals.

Commenting on their defeat at the hands of Gunjur over the weekend coach Jallow said the team played to the best of their ability and created a lot of goal scoring chances but could not utilise them.

He assured the fans that Bakau will qualify for the semi final despite loosing to Gunjur in their second match over the weekend. He finally appealed to fans to continue supporting team and always exercise discipline during the tournament. He also commended his players for the brilliant performances displayed in the past two matches.

In today's group A encounters, Sukuta will face Gunjur at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium, while Lamin will take on Brikama on Thursday in Group B Local Sports
