Assault lands men in court

Ensa Sanyang and Lamin Conteh were recently arraigned at the Bundung

Magistrates Court
charged with conspiracy and assault.

According to the particulars of offence on count one, Ensa Sanyang and Lamin Conteh, on 1 January 2012, at Sukuta village, in Kombo North District of the West Coast Region, jointly assaulted one Lamin Touray by beating him with a stick.

Count two stated that on 1 January 2012, at Sukuta village, in Kombo North District of the West Coast Region, the accused persons, Ensa Sanyang and Lamin Conteh, conspired to commit a felony.

They denied the charges and were granted court bail of D5,000 each with a Gambian surety who must deposit a valid national ID card with the court.

The case continues.
