Another Thrilling Fixture in 1st Division Encounters

Western Region Brikama United will clash with telecommunications boys Gamtel FC in week seventeen fixtures of the ongoing GFA first division league today Wednesday 6th May 2009 at Brikama Mini Stadium.

Brikama United are currently 9th in table with 19 points from sixteen games, but are yet to register a victory since the commencement of the second round.

Gamtel FC are 5th position in the standing with 21 points from sixteen games and hoping to bounced back from their 1-0 defeat in the hands of the league leaders Armed Forces over the weekend.

Hawks will meet the defending champions Wallidan at the Independence Stadium in Bakau, Hawks are 10th position in the standing with 18 points from sixteen games.

The defending champions Wallidan are 4th position in the table with 22 points from fifteen games and have a game in hand.

Bakau United will face Africell in all Bakau derby at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium, Bakau United are 6th in the standing with 22 points from sixteen games while Africell are second from bottom with 14 points from sixteen games.

Elsewhere, Bakau giant Steve Biko will take on Academy boys Samger at Manjai, Steve Biko are 8th in the table with 19 points from fifteen games and have a game in hand.

Samger are 3rd in the standing with 24 points from fifteen games and have a game in hand and are hoping for a victory in order to close the gap.

On Thursday 7th May the leaders Armed Forces will battle it out with Real de Banjul at the Independence Stadium in Bakau, Armed Forces have 31 points from fifteen games and have a game in hand.

Real are 7th in the table with 21 points from sixteen games and are hoping for victory in order keep hope alive while struggling Tallinding United take on Seaview FC at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

Tallinding bagged 11 points from and they lies at the bottom of the table, Seaview FC are currently 3rd position in the standing with 23 points from sixteen games.
